Pollutants

Contaminant or pollutant is a substance or group of substances that may be harmful to the environment or to human health. Threshold of discharge is the amount of discharge of pollutant or group of pollutants for which the industry has a legal obligation to provide data only in case when the threshold is exceeded.

The table lists the thresholds for releases into the environmental media (air, water and land) for 91 pollutants, grouped into 7 groups covered by the register in accordance with Annex 2 of the Rulebook on the form, content, methodology and manner of keeping the Register of release and transfer of pollutants.;

  1. Except where stated otherwise, any pollutant in Annex 2 is reported as total mass of that pollutant or in case the pollutant is represented by a group of pollutants a total mass of the group is reported.
  2. A dash (—) marks that reporting data is not available for specific parameter and environmental media.
  3. Total mass of fluoro-hydrocarbons: amount of HFC23, HFC32, HFC41, HFC43, HFC125,HFC134, HFC134a, HFC152a, HFC143a, HFC227ea, HFC226fa, HFC245ca, HFC365mfe
  4. Total mass of perfluoro-carbons: amount of CF4, C2F6, C3F8, C4F10, c-C3F8, C5F12, C6F14.
  5.   17. Total mass of xylene (ortho - xylene, meta – xylene and para - xylene).
